Creating a V.I.P. Campus Visit Experience in the Nation’s Capital

Keeping up with the Georges

With schools like Georgetown, George Mason and George Washington down the road, an insecure American University often compared itself unfavorably with these neighbors. But with new leadership, American became comfortable in its own skin and boldly became self-aware.

So, it needed a campus visit to match. When TargetX Consulting started working with AU, the campus visit was hosted in a dowdy residence hall lobby. It made a poor first impression and didn’t match the quality of the rest of campus. Now, American hosts the campus visit in its world-class Katzen Arts Center and themes it as a V.I.P. Visit Experience — complete with a compelling 1,680-square-foot Admissions Welcome Center.

There’s now strong campus-wide support for the campus visit and admissions efforts, and there’s a more confident air throughout the university.

Since working with TargetX:
