When prospective consulting clients ask us what we do, or what they get specific to the campus visit, the answer is often big picture. We make the campus visit a top priority within admissions and ultimately campus wide. We help our clients fight the fight for the campus visit at their school.
Lately Trent Gilbert, TargetX’s CXO, Chief eXperience Officer, and I have been receiving a number of emails from consulting clients about improvements to their campus visit since working with us. That’s really the ultimate in satisfaction.
Recently, our clients at York College of Pennsylvania; Steve Neitz, Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and Nancy Spataro, Director of Admissions sent us both electronic and printed hard copies of the York College of Pennsylvania Magazine campus visit cover story.
As a way to introduce alumni to the many physical changes on campus, the article provides a literal virtual tour starting with the information session content and then a student-led tour. It also reports on the significant changes YCP has made to improve their campus visit experience, including:
- A bigger Admissions Welcome Center housed in the Student Center;
- A shuttle bus to connect between campuses; and
- Several experiential touch points.
YCP was featured in last year’s “Golden Walk” Chronicle of Higher Education article about our campus visit work. In less than a year, they’ve accomplished big changes and improvements with their campus visit. With campus visits up 12% at York College of Pennsylvania, it’s perfect timing.
